It looks black. And another fire started yesterday just inside the idaho line. Some dummy burning weeds.

What tag do you have?
Bring extra everything-tires, gas, water, food, people, vehicles, etc. It is big, nasty country with limited to no cell phone service and very few inhabitants. UTV's are best.
Services are very limited-Jackpot, Montello, Wells-that's about it. When we were in Montello over Thanksgiving, the only gas station in town closed for 3 days (no card reader pumps). Next closest gas station was about 100 miles.
I think I would hunt the junipers around Montello if that is in your unit group.
