Not sure this is relevant on federal land under block management. Needs to be addressed by congress. Good luck getting anything for the common man from those money grubbers.

If the bill says "all public land accessible by corner crossing is now legal to access" then a rancher in the checkerboard has no legal authority to tell someone no, so I disagree with you c3. It will be extremely relevant! And maybe it will catch on.

That bill was from the 2017 legislature and did not pass. Havent heard if it will come up again this session.

I think in Nevada it would mean the least of the Western States, there is very little checkerboard compared to places like Wyoming.

Really? I dont know how many acres there are in Wyoming. I know it's a lot. The estimate I have for Nevada shows BLM administered land in the checkerboard at over 4.2 million acres. There is one owner of private checkerboard land who owns over 468,000 acres.

What makes this law less important here is that there are few fences in the checkerboard. Without something like Onx you never know when you are in the checkerboard ownership.
