I'm entertaining the idea of moving to canada(alberta),from utah. I drove through it this year on my way to yellowknife nwt, loved the place. seems like there's lots of room to roam. In your oppinion where would be a good town to move to. I'm sick of people, I like small to mid sized towns. maybe somewhere on the west side of the providence close to mountains. Any sugestions would be great a.

Hi GINW's.

I think you would love to live in Alberta.I live in Northern Alberta and am 3 hours from the Mountains.Tell me a little about yourself and i will toss you a few names. What do you do for a living, what you like to hunt, etc etc

hey jeff, thanks for the response. It's probably wishful thinking but my wife even said she would go for it. I work in the telephone industry, I like to hunt anything, especially deer, whitetails and mule deer both. also love to trap. I heard that living expenses are high up there. what's the housing industry like? any help would be great.

thanks again

Housing idustry is high where i live but if you go a couple hours south or north of me then it get's better. You should check on Hinton,Grand Cache,Edson,Peace River and Whitecourt. All these are great Mid size Northern Alberta Towns that have all kinds of employment available.Oilfield in N alberta are always looking for people and are willing to pay good money and are willing to train.

These towns are all really nice towns for a family and have excellent hunting for Bears,Moose,Elk,Whitetail,Mule Deer etc etc.

If you have any other questions just ask away.

Jeff

some southern towns you might consider would be rocky mountain house, sundre, they are pretty much on the edge of the mountains, have everything to hunt.
some other places could be cochrane, airdrie, crowsnest pass,
the hunting is awesome no matter where you live in alberta
dont see too many people out in the field if you find the right places, and our draw system works considerably well for producing big deer

thanks for the info guys, I appreciate your help, maybe I'll be seeing you soon.

Better do some more checking on that move.....it use to be and may still be that YOU will need to post a bond and NOT be a burden on the Providence up there.
