Hi, this is my first post on the forum, but have been reading for months. Thanks for all the great post. I am in the US, but am planning on taking a trip up to Alberta to hunt Muleys with my bow. Even though I prefer DIY hunt, I know I need a guide up there. I would like to do my own research before I find a guide. The SRD site has some good info, but can't seem to find when all the seasons start and how the draw works. If anyone could guide me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The guides here in Alberta are all run through APOS here is the link.
http://www.apos.ab.ca/

you can find a list of all the licensed guides and organize them by species.

Guides will have guaranteed tags so you do not need a draw.

Hunting regulations and season dates can be found at.

The season dates will be close for next year.

If you want you can PM me and I can help you out. I can help you book a hunt.

Thanks guys!

What do you mean by the season dates will be close for next year?

Thanks again for the info

Well in the southern part of the province the archery season always opens the first wednesday of september. Where as in the mountains and the north it always opens on the 25th of august no matter the day.

At the end of the season in the south archery usually goes until the first teusday of November and rifel opens up on the first wednesday. Lots of the province does have fixed dates though.

That is what i meant by close to this years dates.

PM me or email me if you want more information.
