out of state question?

Hey does sask. give tags out to non residents, how do you apply, or do you have to buy a land owner tag. How does it all work. I am asking about mule deer.

I have read that if you are not a Canadian you must hunt with a Guide. Also If it was me I would find a more quality place to try and harvest a mule deer. $ are the same for the trip and tags. I have been told lots of issues/regs. taking firearms into Canada. Best to read the Canada Regs and if your interested in a quality mule deer hunt Sask. may not your best option in Canada.

Saskatchewan likely has the best quality mule deer in Canada. The problem for non-residents is that the only way you are going to hunt them is with a native outfitter on native reserve lands. There are no tags given out to non-residents of Saskatchewan for areas that are not native reserves. The reserves govern themselves and there are some that offer mule deer hunts although I have no idea on the quality of these hunts, or which reserves offer hunts.

Better than likely, probably. When SASKMAN writes something, it is true. If you have not followed him or this site for the last decade, take a stroll through some of the photos.

I live in Wyoming. I outfit here. I hunt all over the west. I'd love to hunt Saskatchewan. I'd go there and be a grunt just to see the big deer. It is that good.

Sask may not have the greatest numbers, but I'd argue thay have the highest percentage of bucks that are studs. Check out the latest Muley Crazy to see yet another big Sask buck. True monster.

I've heard that there are some real pigs in the saskatoon area. Never hunted there myself, but wouldn't turn down the chance. I think earlier posts are right though, nonresidents must have a licensed guide.
