do you need a guide to hunt any species in british columbia and is it pretty easy to get a tag to hunt black bears their?

Where do you live? If not a native Canadian you need a guide, not sure if a blood relative would count as being able to take you out.

a blood relative can take you out IF it is not for money - there is a surprising list available of just who can take you out and it is longer than one might imagine - My uncle cannot take me because he is a "landed immigrant" but his wife can, that is what I mean

You can get black bear tags here over the counter, so yea, they're easy to get!
