the type of hunt I could go for

The reason I love hunting so much is because I do it all myself. I am a US citizen and would like to hunt BC sometime, but considering the regulations up there I would need to pay an outfitter to hunt. Is there a type of hunt that meets the minimum gov't requirements yet I can hunt without having a guide along all the time? Or even in camp? I like to do things by myself as much as possible, can I get an outfitter to drop me off with a pack animal and leave me alone for a week? Otherwise it's not a hunting adventure for me. I am interested in Mule Deer and Elk hunting, maybe black bear.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-18-11 AT 12:02PM (MST)[p]sorry but you're SOL as they say. Unless you want to hunt small game you need an outfitter.

AND you must be accompanied by a guide while you're hunting.

British Columbia is one of my favorite places without question. More than worth it to hire a guide and enjoy. It is an amazing place and I hope to go back sooner than later. Smither's is probably one of my favorite places anywhere. It is gorgeous and the hunting is top notch.
