MX Mule Deer

Im headed south of the border in 5 days and am surprised i have not seen many posts or pics of deer that are hitting the mexican dirt! i would love to see more pics of couse or muleys that are coming from Old Mexico this year if they are out there. Heard it is supposed to be one heck of a year.

Good luck to you in MX. after hunting MX for several years it is far from shooting fish in a barrel like some guys think . Just like most places, it can be a tough hunt! hope to see a post with your 200" monster when you get back!

Yep, you can hunt the best ranch in Sonora with the best guide and the best hunt dates a still come home with a goose egg. There is some luck to it! I have also heard this is suppose to be a banner year.

I just came back from Mexico the hunting was great my friend killed a thick 28" 4x4 scored 188 with broken tines. I killed a 28" real thick horned buck 180,s an also killed a 33" scored 185. Great hunt cant wait to go back.

Just got back last nite-glad to see more Mex posts. Lots of fun. Very hot-85 day-63 nite-slow rut-only a few broken bones and very tough as usual. Did smoke a cruncher though that is the heaviest buck Ive ever shot!!! Very dense bone!

Just got back a few days ago. I pounded a good buck on the first day. He tapes out at the magical 30" marker. He is a good deer but not what i went down for. I ended up hunting for another 6 days to find the 200" desert monster with no luck. It was a tough hunt for me. Very hot with little to no rut. I have tried loading up some photos but cant seem to figure it out. Might be to big of file.

Well a 30" buck is a great buck. I left mexico on the 18th of Jan. it started getting hot an the rut turned of according to the guys who hunted after me. The rut was going strong when i was ther though. I wish i could load the pics i shot a 28" an 33 1/4" buck. Congratulation on your good buck.

Thanks Johnny it was a good year. Everyone who hunted with Gary an enrique did great. The smallest buck width wise was 27" but it scored 202. All the bucks shot this year were between 28" to 33 1/4. Gary said they shot a 31" buck after i left so the hunting was still good. See you up ther next year Johnny. The hunting will be good again i passed on some awesome bucks. Next year they will be monsters for sure.Also Brain thanks for posting the pics you did an excellent job.
