Mexico round two

Anybody headed down this Dec/Jan? I got the invite again this year and can't wait. I took a nice monster muley last year and might even try to hunt a couse this year. If given the choice what would you chase? I've killed two very respectable mule deer (180 class bucks), but have never taken a couse. In fact, I've only seen one couse in my life and that was last year. It was a small buck and very cagey. Took off at the first hint of trouble. Can't decide? I've got a good friend who missed the biggest deer of the trip last year. I'd really like to see him bag a dandy this year. Maybe I can even keep all of my bullets without the Mexican Army (borrowing) them this year! Good luck to everyone headed down....fstop

Adam,

Has Merritt retired? I see his new Dodge 4x4 and new cabover at his mom's house all the time. I seen him once after he sold the ranch.
Good luck on your hunt in Old Mexicali.

Hey Brian,
Boy I don't know. I haven't talked to him in a couple of years. I know terrible cousin! I didn't even know he'd sold the ranch? If you see him, tell him hi. He needs to come back to Utah and hunt, not to mention I'm sure my dad would love to see him and Wade. Thanks, Adam

Adam, I will pass the info on to Merrit and/or wade the next time I see them at your Aunt Karen's house.

I can't bring myself to spend the money on muley's, but go down and hunt coues deer every year, the coues are so cool (nothing is as cool as big mule deer) but they get in your blood. Mexico is a place to kill a giant of both. hard call to make. good luck
