Target practice in Mexico?

I travel to Mexicali on a regular basis for work. I always leave my car on the US side because I keep a couple of firearms in it and I have no idea what the laws are, but I do know I see signs everywhere saying it's illegal to cross with them.

But, I would like to take my girlfriend down there shooting some time, just doing some general target practice stuff. What are the laws for legally carrying a gun into Mexico if I don't have any intentions to hunt (i.e. paperwork/reservations to show)?

If you take any type of firearm into Mexico without the proper paperwork....your going to go to JAIL ....Mexico JAIL...lots of dollars and bribes later you might gets out of jail after a couple years.....
Do yourself a favor...dont do it ...its just not worth it....find some public land in the US and do your shooting.....other option would be to find someone in mexico that has what you need, pay a fee to get access a place to shoot but that starts talking dollars.....

You must get the paperwork from the Mexican gov't and get it approved by them prior to crossing with a firearm....

I think you should take your guns to Mexico for target practiice, and you may as well take a bag of blow with you also.

Your Question Seems Odd. Why On earth Would you Want To Take Your GF Across the Border to Practice Shooting?

Like Others Have Posted You are Not Allowed to Cross any Firearm With out the Proper Paperwork and Checking the Gun In and Out Before Departing.
