Why would he? the majority of the most prominent republicans are skipping it.

Intelligent people don't buy tickets on a sinking ship.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-19-16 AT 11:01PM (MST)[p]I think you mean that Kasich's pledge and word are not worth a bowl of beans. Just another cry baby politician that goes away pouting when he does not get his wish.
The other important politicians that stayed away are also sore losers who speak out of both sides of their mouth and Jeb sure did not keep his pledge even though he was the main politician that pushed that pledge deal to rope in Trump. Jeb though he was going to win the nomination by a landside and got handled his butt.

RELH

You want Kasich to support a RINO ? Trump is riding you clowns down the trail like a cheap scooter. which Trump do you like? the old one? late model? or new and improved?

All you look for in a candidate is an (R) by their name isn't it?

Since Grey Davis I have not seen a moderate Democrat to vote for. All I have been offered is far left wing liberals that want to take away from the working man and give to the welfare, run business out of the country, and cure the problem with more taxes. Dude you can have them, both of you are worthy of each other.

I love that the thin skinned establishment took their play toys and went home crying. Who gives a FF about the liberal establishment Republicans like the Bush's. We needed a change and we got it.

It's not really a change, unless losing 3 presidential elections in a row is your version of change.

Trump very well may cost the GOP the senate too. now if you want change give Hillary the senate and you'll see change. and maybe not the kind any of us want.

This little racist hate filled teabagger hissy fit that pushed the GOP out of mainstream politics will cost you dearly. be careful what you ask for.

I think is a Busch League move that makes him look like a little kid who got his candy taken away at Christmas. .

I supported Kasich as an alternative to Trump because at least Kasich had a record as a conservative governor but he should at least be present to see the GOP he helped take the fall with a RINO candidate.

Nemont

He may have had a part in the demise of the republican party. but snubbing the clustershag in Cleveland gives him the right to claim he didn't take part in finishing it off.

Kasich is a good man, that's why he and 15 others like him didn't get the nomination. Americans are looking for blood this time around. You think Hillary got the nomination because she is lily white and wants to unify America? Even the Dem voters know better.

The reality is the Dems are scared.

Just like thinking republicans the dems are scared, scared of Trump. that's why Hillary will win.

Hillary isn't lily white that's true, so how lily white is Trump? hard to say with no tax returns and all that orange food coloring .

I'm curious, Trump has been friends with the Clintons for a long time. even calling Bill the best president of the last 4 a few years ago and he said Hillary would make a great VP or president as well. what has changed since then except Trump is running president? was he wrong or just lying again? he's such a good con man you clowns don't even want to know who he really is. I love it.

Dude, I remember saying you would vote for him. You would pick Hillary over him?

We are so used to programmed politicians. Politically correct, that will only say what their handlers allow them to say.

I am ready for a real person as President. As Pence said in his speech, (to paraphrase) you can tell a lot by the kids a person raises.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-21-16 AT 07:45AM (MST)[p]After the last 15+ years I think Bill was a pretty good president too.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-21-16 AT 01:12PM (MST)[p]If Kasich is such a douche as RELH describes why did little Donnie Jr go dry hump his leg so hard?

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/donald-trump-most-powerful-vice-president

Trump held out a carrot to Kasich proposing to make him the most powerful VP in history placing him in charge of Foreign & Domestic Policies.

WTF? Really? What Trump is really saying is that Kasich is by far the more qualified for the job. Trump's intention is to simply job-out the highest office in the land.

When things go bad he would simply toss Kasich under the bus to deflect any blame. Kasich may have born on a Tuesday, but it wasn't last Tuesday. Kasich is way too smart and experienced to play that childish game.

Congratulations GOP members, you have chosen wisely. If Trump wins, Massenngil's poster boy Mike Pence will now be your defacto President.

Pence is worse than Trump, it's no wonder he endorsed Cruz . Pence is a bible thumping far right freak. no different than Cruz and his approval rating as governor reflects it. chitty.

Paul I had considered voting for Trump until he turned on the new and improved version. he was either a moderate conservative or a moderate liberal take your pick. today I'm unsure which Trump we're going to get on any given day. it's just not worth the chance.

I feel ECAXTLY like Mark Cuban, I liked Trump until he opened his mouth.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-21-16 AT 02:56PM (MST)[p]All you bent wrist liberals are just looking to justify your voting for Hillary. You are about as sorry as she is for excepting a crook for president. Pence's record as a governor will probably be far better then Hillary's choice of a V.P. She has been doing flip flops on choosing her V.P. as Warren would be a disaster and she knows it now.

RELH

Warren would be her best for getting votes, but Hillary knows she doesn't need her to win. so she'll pick whoever she wants. bookies are liking Kaine whever he is.

Pence was a piss poor choice. Gingrich would have been way better than a no name jesus freak with low approval ratings at home.

RELH who needs to justify voting for anyone? let alone justify it to you? last time I checked we were free to vote for whoever we want. do you wonder how many of the republicans who won't support or endorse Hillary will be voting for her? I bet a lot. they don't need to justify it to you either they know Trump is a dumpster fire and they don't want blamed for it.

Stay Thirsty My Friends

If that is the case Dude, why don't you quit being the coward chickensh!t you are and grow a brass pair and admit you intend to vote for Hillary. No need to beat around the bush since you and her are two of a kind.

RELH

Tog I see two choices. Not vote at all, or vote for Trump.

I cannot see a person that takes their vote seriously voting for Hillary.

I can't see anyone voting for Trump as having given it much thought. you don't know who he really is or what he'd do. everything he's promised is either unrealistic, unconstitutional or both.

So you just figure what the hell let's give him a try? How many CEO's do you suppose are hired on that basis?

Stay Thirsty My Friends

Well I see you still have not grown a brass pair. Trump did a good job of firing up the GOP tonight and uniting them. Even used Sanders against Hillary to piss off the Sanders supporters against Hillary and her rigged nomination. Trump's daughter did a great speech that was aimed at the women voters and I am sure she picked up some women support for her father.

I worked for large corporations for 17 years, including Citi Bank for 12 years. You would be surprised how CEOs are hired in SOME cases.

As to your first comments, so he has not been queered by politics yet. It is worth a shot. We just had 7.5 years of the worst leadership I ever thought I would see in America and I was halfway optimistic when Obama was first elected.

I will take a guy that loves this country over what we have had any day. The Dems have swung way to far to the left. You wait till their convention. you will see just how much they hate what has made America the example to the rest of the world. It is bizarre that anyone could support them at this point. Bernie and Obama have pulled Hillary way to the left, and their grass roots voters are basically communists.

With trump we have a decent chance of getting a wall built, and that is something that should have been done 50 years ago. Lots of what he promised last night is unrealistic, but, some could happen.

I am just tired of same old establishment politicians. Being told who to vote for. People in that position that have never done anything worthwhile (IMO) in their lifetime. The only reason they are there is because they are good at lying and consolidating power.

There is no choice this election. Trump deserves a chance.

The Supreme Court Justices to be nominated will be the future of this country. Do you want Hillary to make those picks? At least with Trump we have a fighting chance to save this nation from a socialist, communist take over by the radical left.

Trump and his kids offer up a much brighter future to this nation. A vote against Trump or a no vote will ensure the ruination of the Republic.

Trump has a fair chance, not because of the people who vote FOR him, But when their votes are added to those who will vote AGAINST Hilary. I think its a good chance the lieing biotch will fade away. It would be hard even for her to maintain her corruption without a position in Government, to help promote it
I for one will be voting against Hilary. And tugapepe you have no idea how little your opinion means to me

Dude- how many conservative republicans will vote for Hillary? None. Not one even Cruz. The problem Trump may have is the Romney syndrome where the far right stays home and lets her win. My guess is Trump will get the standard 90% of republican votes and he will steal quite a few democrats from the rust belt. I saw the CNN voter panel last night as well as the Fox panel. They were all undecided voters and not one raised their hand that they would vote for Hillary. The CNN live poll gave Trump very high marks for moving voters to his side. May be a decent race after all.

I've been saying it for two years, we had a golden opportunity to elect whoever we wanted and we chose the Donald. We could have had a far right conservative and we chose a moderate liberal. Unfughing believable! Were you all impressed with all the big government talk last night?

DW, we let Tog talk us into dropping the conservative candidates and voting for someone who could win. Win at all cost, remember?

Now he won't even vote for his guy. WTH?

DW,

How come the majority of GOP voters kicked your candidate to the curb and nominated the Donald? Doesn't appear that the majority of Republicans are ready for a far right candidate either.

Just saying something doesn't make it true. Imagine if Cruz was the nominee, he may have still been booed off the stage for his requiring an official religious purity test to be considered a Republican.

Nemont

Cruz is about the last so called conservative candidate I would vote for. He pulled to many underhanded dirty stunts during the campaign and blamed it off on his supporters, that I would have trouble trusting him in office. His failure to keep his pledge tells me he is a spoiled brat that needs to get his way or else he goes off pouting.
Something about him tells me he would be a ok with a cigar filled backroom making shady deals that will not help the majority of the working people. I hope this will end his career in politics in Texas and the nation.

RELH

FW, I hope you are smart enough to know is that Trump based his selection of V.P. on a candidate that will increase the party to vote for him in Nov.
It happens to be the exact same thing Hillary is doing to get more Dems to support her.

Common tactic in politics from the beginning of time.

RELH

Well then, they have both failed miserably if the goal was to increase party votes. In both cases it will result in costing votes.

Kasich was Trump's only key and Hillsy picking Kaine will swing 0 votes from Bernie supporters.

Then maybe the vote will be decided on the issues and where the candidate stands with certain issues. I'm banking that Trump will come out ahead on those issues as most voters do not want the continuation of the Obama policy. With her outright record of proof on her lying, a lot of folks will not believe anything she says about what she plans to do.

RELH

I went to my great aunts 100 birthday party today she is a strong republican with an incredibly active mind for 100 she asked me if I thought she'd ever see another republican president. I told her Aunt Dorothy you might if you live to be 109. You have the same hope RELH but since I don't think you're 100 you don't have to make it to quite that age, 2024 will be here before you know it. Trump is more concerned with picking a fight with Crude than winning the presidency. It makes little difference his crazy shines through and not enough voters like his brand of crazy. I have a feeling we'll both be bantering this in 2024.

A lot of people will disagree with you cornhusker. It's either Trump or electing one of the most lying deceitful crooks that have ever ran for president. She is even more deceitful then Obama who promised the moon and failed to deliver on the smallest scale.

Corn, step away from the TV for awhile. Trump could have sent Cruz flowers and the Media would have pushed the narrative that he was scared of him.
Doesn't it bother you when there is so much effort from media to make you think a certain way. Step back and look at facts. Where these people have come from and what they have done.

Despite the fractured nature of the party, lack of a seasoned and networked campaign staff the Donald may have a shot. I wouldn't discount him just yet..as difficult as that is for me to say.

Both candidacies are just a news cycle away from swaying non-partisans to Stein or Johnson. That will only take away from Hillsy, those voters were never going GOP.

The key factor for Hillsy falls down to 2% and Gary Johnson could become President. Johnson is polling at 13%, at 15% he is in the debates. Once there it's game on as a 3rd option.

Johnson would not even need to beat Trump or Hillsy, he only needs to win 1 state. A tie in the Electoral College votes for the other 49 states between Trump and Clinton could put Johnson in office. If this allbeit rare occurrence were to happen the House would decide the winner. Given the circumstances stranger things have happened and the unpopularity of the 2 leading candidates.

Kinda like the contested gop convention prediction, only with even longer odds!

I am a Johnson supporter, I have som Libertarian beliefs, while I don't support either of the major party candidates I don't see a possible way to the presidency for either third party candidate. Yesterday a third party in Nebraska gathered up enough petition signatures that they will be included on the ballot. I don't think the Marijuana Party candidate in Nebraska has much of a chance either. Your scenario is implausible as even if it went to the House neither party will give up control and support Johnson.

I'm not claiming that Johnson will be President, but he could prove to be just enough of a spoiler once in the debates should he gain just a little traction, that Trump could win.

It'll have nothing to do with the enthusiasm gap caused by the state of our country under the leadership of the current administration.
