Anyone care to bet that raising the debt ceiling will now be an important thing to send the message that America makes good on it's promises?

I bet there will be little debate, not a single conservative senator will Filibuster it and not hostage taking will happen.

Somehow the debt is no longer important to conservatives. I bet even OMB Director Mick Mulvaney has new found love for increasing the debt ceiling.

Debt's not a problem when we have a republican president. those are the rules.

The con continues.

I can see this post got a lot of play. I see it differently, the R's love the debt. Drive it higher, it only serves their agenda to bankrupt the government forcing cuts to Medicare, Social Security, while enhancing the argument for selling off BLM land.

It's like trying to get the mouthbreathers engaged into a conversation on the wall or obamacare. good luck.

The R's have the credit card now. Raise the limit baby, we got work to do and a plan. We have a president who knows all about Chapter 11. We're good.

Put some more water in the beans.

They have had the credit card since 2011 and as for Chapter 11 keep in mind we the taxpayers make up the bulk of the bank holding our debt.

Obama Blows Trillions & That's OK by dude!

It took 200+ years to get a 9 trillion debt and only 8 years to go from 9 trillion to 20 trillion. And that was with the best President since Abraham Lincoln. At least our infrastructure is world class and UBL is dead.

It's only going to be the luck of the draw as to who is in power when the crash happens.

I am sure borrowing more will fix it.

Why won't the Tea Party filibuster this debt ceiling increase? No core values? Just a bunch of fake pretend conservatives?

12 billion off the national debt the first month compared to 200 billion added on from the previous President.

So because Obama ran up the debt that means Trump gets to make up lies? Do you have any standards that you hold a Republican to?

Ask yourself the obvious question: if Trump is telling the truth and the debt is going down, why would we have to raise the debt ceiling?'

Nemont

I see your head is still filled with the fantasy from the campaign promises.

Can you tell me what investments will return enough to even pay the interest on the debt?

Think about this when interest rates go up 1% it cost the country another $190 billion.

Other than the fact that money would never make it to the federal treasury, that is fine by me. It would weed out the riffraff and the competition for places to hunt would be nil.

Makes perfect sense if you don't think about it.

Show me the chart that says the answer to our debt problem is to borrow more.

I love the excuse," well Obama did it". I guess if the standard Trump has to follow is Obama then another $10 Trillion will be justified and then maybe that debt will fix our debt problem.

So no nets on whether the conservatives in the White House will not need a debt ceiling increase? He says the debt is being reduced already by $12 billion, NOW is the time to get serious about our debt problem. Trump said it is going down why another increase?

Nemont you need to put on a town haul meeting to get that answered.

I would if I were elected by claiming I would pay off the debt in 8 years. Remember the administration just declared they are in the promise keeping business. Which of their big promises do you think will meet reality first?

Nemont

If Trump can do 30% that would be great, the last 8 years all I ever heard was scolding and how we were a nation of cowards.

It will be interesting to see how the Senators and Representatives from Montana and Idaho vote. That's where the true conservatives reside.

They're. You should return that GED you bought from Sally Struthers.

Seeing as how one Senator from Montana is a democrat kind of hard to see him voting on taking healthcare from the poor or voting to approve tax cuts for the 1%. Daines is the one who gaveled down Elizabeth Warren when she tried to make Session look like a bigot. Remind which California Senator was there to help any of the Trump nominees? oh that's right as usual no help from California for anything on the conservative agenda. The oldest and loudest mouths are too weak to send a conservative to the Senate, then want to talk shyt? what joke
