Your hero has been expanding the number of U.S. boots on the ground in Syria since he took office. MEU Artillery units, special forces and now providing air mobility to the rebels by flying they around the battle field in our Helos.

You can pretend that it isn't so but it be so and McCain is just another war mongering who Trump is listening to.

Have you looked at the Pentagon plan that Sec. Mattis has presented to Trump?

"What that might look like is putting an extra 4,000 to 5,000 U.S. troops into Syria in order to help accelerate operations around Raqqa in the next 6 to 9 months,"

Looks like Sec. Mattis and McCain agree on more U.S. Troops. What do you think Trump will do? Will he be the Trump of the Campaign who said it was a bad idea to intervene or will he be the Trump now who just realized one way to keep the Russian investigation hushed up is to expend blood and treasure without any coherent policy. I suspect it will be that latter.

I bet you will support Trump regardless of how many Americans he wants to get over there and into a fight, you just won't support McCain.

What are our strategic national interests in Syria?

What are our strategic national interests in Syria? Rooting out ISIS would be the official talking point. It might take 60 years and trillions of dollars though.

If that is the only Strategic national interest then why would Trump attack Assad? He is the guy who is fighting ISIS in Syria. Why is Israel providing medical treatment to wounded ISIS fighters that are fighting in Syria? Why are we fighting for Saudi Arabia in Yemen against Shiite militias while the Saudi's fund ISIS?

We are defacto allies with Iran in the fight for Mosul. Yet I am told Iran is the axis of evil that has people who shout death to America. We are also fighting against our Ally, Turkey by providing support for the Kurds.

So if our vital interest is rooting out ISIS somebody should explain that to President Trump. He doesn't seem to care if Assad blows up beautiful children with barrel bombs.

Assad said they never dropped bombs it was just an excuse for the US to attack.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-13-17 AT 12:03PM (MST)[p]You do understand that barrel bombs and the gas attack are two different issues, right?

Assad can say anything I guess but the president spokesman said barrel bombs were a red line but that can't be right because Assad is using them to kill beautiful children and Trump doesn't care about that.

He cared enough to send 59 cruise missles, far more then Obama ever did. All Obama did was lie to us via Susan Rice that all the chemical weapons were removed. Maybe you need to see your doctor about having a short memory.

We have to kill the people we hate because they hate us. In order to do that we have to figure out who we hate the most and team up with the other people we hate, but hate less than the people we really hate. And we have join the Russians who we hate because they hate some of the people we hate too, or at least they say they do.

It's complicated, but the bottom line is you have to have a foreign policy, protect the people you hate the least at the moment, and spend money so you're ready to go on a hate war at any time.

Will that make those kids any less dead? If barrel bombs are used to kill those beautiful Syrian Children Trump isn't going to send a single cruise missile. Assad as been using them since 2013. The only dead kids you guys care about are if they are gassed. If the Syrian children a blown up by airstrikes, shot by snipers, run over by a tank, used as human shields or starved to death, you and Trump simply turn your heads.

He sent those missiles and did what he said he would never do, tell somebody ahead of time. He gave a heads up to Putin's minions and they told the Syrians.

I get the feeling it wouldn't matter to any of you how many Syrian die as long as the Russian investigation is out of the headlines. Now you all are cheering on a war that Candidate Trump said we have no business being in. The tail is wagging the dog and the dog is liking it.

Can you name a time that we intervened in the middle east where we got it right? Even the first Gulf war gave rise to the second. Our policy with Israel leads to the Arabs hating us, our policy of regime change has brought chaos to Iraq and Libya and we are now thinking we should change the regime in Syria.

How much is enough to spend to be ready? Why isn't more than the next 10 nations combined enough to be safe? Can you explain how creating more martyrs makes us safer?
