Bundy at Malhur ?

So my question is since George Sorros funds these events. If the Bundys had as much money as him would they be held to a different standard. Because Sorros sure is.

My point zactly

Of the two actions: Protesting vs. Armed Take over of a federal facility, Which is granted Protection under the U.S. Constitution and which is considered a felony?

Pretty cut and dried case that the Bundy bunch are accused of committing a felony. I guess if you want to support felons have at it.

If the Bundy's weren't welfare queens and had been truly harmed by the Government their case would get more sympathy from people. They are simply dead beats who don't pay their bills, while all their neighbors did. Why anyone would support such welfare bums is beyond me.

LAST EDITED ON May-03-17 AT 11:28AM (MST)[p]Oh and destroying cities like baltimore aren't felonies Sorros encorages it to get voilent he just says otherwise and with his deep pockets it's payed off so nobody peels back the layers to find where he ties in. Sad part is after the election they broke windows at starbucks and bank of america both institutions fund liberals very heavily. And I don't defend the Bundy's either. I just think Sorros should be held accountable for all the sh!t he's caused if they are.

Good shut em down I don't give a Sh!t about any of those 3 you listed. They haven't done a damn thing for me today and they aren't going to do a damn thing for me tomorrow.

I am fine with it too. Find a Republican who will carry any legislation to get rid of Citizens United. The Court says money equals speech and Soros has bunch of money he is speaking with. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Which one is the terrorist? The Bundy's. Why?

Because most Americans agree with the other group. They think they're seeking justice and are justifiably practicing civil disobedience. Plus they're just having a little fun and blowing off steam. Be tolerant.

The Bundy's are considered terrorists because they're stupid and pack guns even though none of them know how to use them to begin with. They watch too many John Wayne movies. Beyond stupid really.

Civil disobedience is a Constitutionally protected right. Armed take over of a Federal Facility is a felony, so most Americans are right to allow one and not the other.

Nemont

Civil disobedience is a Constitutionally protected right.

Smashing windows
Burning cars
Physically attacking people just because you disagree with them
Throwing bricks into crowds of people
Starting arson fires.

None of these things are ?Constitutionally protected?.

Conclusion, maybe they are both terrorists.
So why was only one group prosecuted ?

"Civil disobedience is a Constitutionally protected right. Armed take over of a Federal Facility is a felony, so most Americans are right to allow one and not the other."

Protesting is a right but civil disobedience is not protected. Some people might think it is, and consider it honorable, especially when judges just give a light slap on the hand.

Limitations on Action
Demonstrators who engage in civil disobedience ? defined as non-violent unlawful action as a form of protest ? are not protected under the First Amendment. People who engage in civil disobedience should be prepared to be arrested or fined as part of their protest activity.

You may want to review of the Supreme Court has ruled on why is protected and what is not in regard to civil disobedience.

Nemont

Then I guess you have a Constitutional right to run a red light then too, as long as it's done as a form of protest.

Picture proof, antifa protestors on a street holding signs within their constitutional rights and the Bundy bunch at an armed take over of a federal refuge. Why is this so difficult to make a decision on?

Are all protestors disobedient, are all Trump supporters nazi loving racists? Fact is there are always going to be a few bad apples in the barrel. The Ipso Facto road will get you nowhere quickly, they're rapist, they're bringing drugs, they're murderers.

What this really boils down to is self-identification. I identify myself as being more like one than the other, facts are secondary. If you supported the bombing in Syria why are you not supporting the seizure of Bundy's cattle? After decades of losing in court and exhausting the appeals process at some point action will be taken. Why is this so difficult to accept, this was not Ruby Ridge.

NeMont, rather than look it up, the best way would be to put it to the test. Next time a cop is watching, run a red light. If he pulls you over explain that you intentionally ran the light to raise awareness of how much idling at red lights is contributing to global warming and you are exercising your constitutional right of civil disobedience.

On the outside chance that he might not know about that right, the officer may issue you a citation. That's okay.

Once you get to court and declare your rights to a judge he may dismiss the charges. Or he may impose a fine. Let us know which.
