Resigned immediately after being instructed by the AG to downplay the Clinton investigation. Comey thought like too many other people, that Clinton was going to win the election so he would be safe.

After the news broke that Lynch met Bill on the tarmac for an obvious collusive meeting, Comey had no choice but to bypass Lynch in an attempt to save face. He still felt however, that Clinton was going to win the election so he had to protect her but make it appear as though she made grave mistakes. This was all orchestrated to make it appear that he was a tough and fair FBI director while at the same time letting Hillary off the hook to cement his future.

He claims that he felt threatened by Trump's meeting with him but it would seem that he would also feel threatened by Lynch's ordering him to downplay the Clinton investigation. So why then, is there no memos of the Lynch conversation?

The bottom line is that I want my FBI director to be fair and independent. By Comey not bringing out the Lynch thing until today shows that he is by far not a fair and independent guy. You cannot make memos and claim you felt pressured by one party and not the other and maintain your integrity. Period!!

You guys sure seem pleased, not sure why though. Perhaps somebody can explain all the high-fives. Dear Leader has been silent, Pence cancelled an interview with PBS, and Comey's memos have been turned over to Mueller. Comey's testimony was extremely damaging to the Trump regime.

By all means, keep celebrating I know I am. However I get the feeling that we are celebrating 2 different things.

Fancy that, somebody claiming Trump is a liar, there is certainly no track record of that is there? Except for the thousands of lawsuits and personal accounts.

Caving in to Lynch but not keeping memos on it and leaking information relevant to an investigation to the media are kind of shady. Any attorney worth a shyt would have a field day showing that this guy is a lying POS.

All you have now is where is the tapes, where is the tapes? I don't recall Trump saying there were tapes, I recall him saying Comey better "hope" there isn't any you dingbats. I'm guessing he knew Comey was a liar and wanted him to think there could possibly be tapes of the conversation so he would tell the truth.

Comey is a disgruntled ex-government employee, that is all. I'm surprised he didn't shoot everyone yesterday given how salty he is.

Anyone that thinks after yesterday's testimony by Comey that he is an honest, stand up, great American is either a LIAR or delusional. The guy caved to Loretta Lynch, something Nemont tried to ASSume would never happen because he has such great integrity and he leaked his memos to a friend so that friend could put it out to the media.

It is still being debated whether or not he broke the law by leaking those memos since the minute he wrote them they were government property. I'm good with him not being prosecuted for it though because just the fact that he is a leaker dries up any ounce of integrity the man might have had anyway.

It'll never come up for investigation I'm sure but just the fact that the fake news is having to provide cover for his leaking casts serious doubts in the court of public opinion.

If I were Trump I would be blasting him all over the media for caving in to Lynch and being a leaker. I would say that these reasons along with others are why his sorry ass got fired. Even libtard pundits agree that if he had leaked these memos before he got fired it would absolutely be grounds for immediate termination. So what, he only has integrity when he gets a paycheck from Uncle Sam?

I love how people admire leakers.(I.E. the DNC emails, Snowden etc.) and at the same time can excuse another leaker as having no credibility.

Choose one side of the fence or the other. While I am glad it is Trump and not Hitlary, and I also believe Comey is a liar and a snake. Please pick one side or the other, Snowden taking classified "government" property was heroic, while Comey is a "traitor" is total BS. All government property belongs to the citizens.

Let's take a look at the DNC leaks. Those are not considered "government" property, unlike the FBI memos and such, they can not be accessed under the freedom of information act. Yet you will happily pounce on those and act as though that is acceptable.

I am in most cases in your corner, my point is don't crucify one for the same actions you deem as acceptable by another.

Well you argue like the dude. So I assume there is some relation there, just because you are on different sides of the spectrum does not mean you did not have the same donors.

I agree Comey should be fired, in fact I believe that most of his testimony should be stricken from the record and not presented as any sort of evidence. He shows a tendency to be unbelievable.

None the less, his distribution of information was no illegal. I believe he should go onto live his life and do his thing. I don't believe they should use any of his testimony or gathered "evidence", and should re-initiate the investigation with new people and a new perspective.
