Trump Owns the ACA

Dear Leader has proclaimed that he will let the ACA fail, he and his party will not own it. His reasoning, the ACA belongs to the Democrats so when it fails they will beat down his door to fix it.

Interesting concept, like all things, just say it, and so it shall be. A couple of problems with that statement, primarily the ACA is not failing. More importantly Dear Leader holds the trifecta, he owns title to everything and anything that fails.

In Dear Leader's own tweety words...

"Obama's complaints about Republicans stopping his agenda are BS since he had full control for two years. He can never take responsibility."

Now the we can chalk up yet another cargo ship full of lies and broken promises to Dear Leader on Healthcare Reform good luck with Tax Reform.

Nemont was correct, yet again. Miss him.

I think you will be proven wrong FTW. There is other factors of the ACA that will kick in this year and it will get worse.

The Republicans should not make the mistake the Democrats did by rushing the ACA in to find out, "what will happen after it is passed". Let it fester more and take the time to do it right. Until then keep telling the people that the ACA in force is owned by the Democrats.

http://www.snopes.com/aca-versus-ahca/

"In June and July 2009, with Democrats in charge, the Senate health committee spent nearly 60 hours over 13 days marking up the bill that became the Affordable Care Act. That September and October, the Senate Finance Committee worked on the legislation for eight days ? its longest markup in two decades. It considered more than 130 amendments and held 79 roll-call votes. The "full Senate" debated the health care bill for 25 straight days before passing it on Dec. 24, 2009."

While the bill did not receive a single Republican vote, the right side of the aisle was not shut out of the process as was the case with the ACHA.

Snopes? Why hell the CBO uses them for a reference too why didn't we think of that. My god your ignorance abounds when they start getting those cancellations notices like thousands of American already have they'll know who lied to them and it wasn't the GOP. You're starting to believe you own propaganda and that's not too good. You didn't do well in accounting class did you? No wonder you loved Bernie......LOL Hey wink wink free college for all, free health care and a free car in every garage with bluetooth for your free phone! So why don't you explain just what the dems and Obama own on this travesty perpetuated on the American people.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-19-17 AT 00:13AM (MST)[p]Travesty? Are you by chance referring to the 350,000+ American lives saved by simply having insurance?

I know you can only parrot what you have heard from right wing radio so much like the other fairy tale dribble you have posted let's take a walk down memory lane, shall we?

In 1993 the Republicans drafted a proposal known as the HEART act.

Then, Republican Sen. John Chafee of Rhode Island was the point man. The bill he introduced, Health Equity and Access Reform Today, had a list of 20 co-sponsors that was a who's who of Republican leadership. There was Minority Leader Bob Dole, R- Kan., Sens. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, Richard Lugar, R-Ind., and many others. There also were two Democratic co-sponsors.

Recognize any of those names pinhead?

Among other features, the Chafee bill included:

An individual mandate;

Creation of purchasing pools;

Standardized benefits;

Vouchers for the poor to buy insurance;

A ban on denying coverage based on a pre-existing condition.

"You would find a great deal of similarity to provisions in the Affordable Care Act," Sheila Burke, Dole?s chief of staff in 1993, told PunditFact via email. "The guys were way ahead of the times!! Different crowd, different time, suffice it to say."

That said, the Senate plan from 1993 was not identical to the health care law that passed in 2010. The Republican bill did not expand Medicaid as Obamacare does, and it did have medical malpractice tort reform, which the current law does not. In contrast to the current employer mandate, the Chafee bill required employers to offer insurance, but they were under no obligation to help pay for it.

A few minor differences, but all in all the very foundation for what we know as Obamacare or the ACA.

Romney implemented this plan in Massachusetts.

Obama wanted Single Payer, which is what we will end up with eventually. But the Tea Baggers went crazy decrying socialism so Obama said, "Fine" we'll go with your plan.

So yeah, the Dems really don't own much other than putting forth a plan to slow down the spiraling cost of healthcare while saving American lives.

You keep thinking that and watch how they start to use Obamacare against you in the next election. You really aren't too good with optics are you.

So how do the dems accuse the GOP of not fixing their plan?

At some point you're going to wake up and realize just how much Obama cost your party. Obama and Hillary are the best gifts the GOP ever got because they just keep on giving and it's not over yet. If you make a bad business decision you fix it. The dems think they're playing the high ground here and it's going to backfire on them (IMO). Why because in politics you just can't admit you made a mistake of this magnitude because your opponent will use it against you forever.

The GOP tried to do what was right and they couldn't agree on a plan and Shumer made what will become the the biggest calculated mistake in political history....Why? To save the legacy of the guy who cost them more than any president in history who just happened to be black. He couldn't risk losing the black vote so it's understandable why they took that route but let's face it the dems aren't on a string of playing winning hands and making good decisions. We'll see how it plays out but in the end I think you'll see owning up and fixing it would have been a better choice. But it's politics and elections are won and lost on smaller issues than this. Time will tell and I may be completely dead wrong.

Trump absolutely owns it. he promised to make it better and now he doesn't even have the political strength to make it worse .

The dipchits who voted for him either want the better health care they were promised, or the elimination of Obamacare and screw the poor over as they were promised. Trump played both sides in his con and delivered absolutely nothing to anyone. now he owns Obamacare plain and simple.

Who passed the ACA? Who said you can keep your doctor and the premiums for everyone will go down by $2500 a year? I think people are savvy enough to remember how it all came down in spite of the lies and BS from the progressives. They know exactly what happened and no spin in the world will change that fact. They may vote a couple of republicans out in '18 but I will bet you they will also vote out just as many democrats. The commercials should be good next year.

You're clowns are kind of slow .

Trump promised to repeal and replace the ACA. Trump promised to give EVERYONE better healthcare.

WTF is it you don't get about that? he made promises he cannot keep to one crowd or the other . and he's done neither. he ******** owns it .

You think people will all call it Trumpcare by the next election? Never know but I bet they still call it OBAMAcare.

Could be PenceCare or RyanCare, but more than likely it will be HatchCare by the next election.

I want Trumpcare, cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, higher taxes for the poor and especially those on fixed incomes, and for God's sake sell that BLM land off.

None of it will ever hurt me, but I know a lot of it will hurt most here. Bring it!!! #MAGA

FTW the only one on here that it will hurt is your butt buddy lover Piper. Show us your mounts.

That turds still in the lefts pocket and will stay there till the right pulls it out and makes em chew on it in the fall of 18. Its only 6 months in, wait till they repeal it, hopefully in 19 after they've watched you eat it and sealed yer fate. It's gonna be good watchin!

LAST EDITED ON Jul-19-17 AT 09:38PM (MST)[p]Tweedle dum the congressional record shows who owns it and if you think that footage of Trump asking them to repeal and replace it several times will hurt him you're delusional. Shumers playing a losing game and The President and Bannon know just exactly how to get up there before the American people and use the media to tell them what's happening and if you think that won't buy him votes and credibility watch and learn. He's not lying to them he's giving them the bad news and telling them what's coming. Then he'll stand up there and point out not one single GOP member cast a vote for a plan that was doomed to fail from the start.

Imagine how all those middle class earners who had their premiums and deductibles go up will feel about the dems then.....They've been taking money away from them they could have used to provide more for their families......that anger will show up in the voting booth and Trump and company will pass anything they want going forward because he did the hard job he stood up there and gave them the bad news and will ask them for their vote so he has the support he needs to fix the issue.....

Shumers folly is over and Pelosi will go down as the pariah that passed the bill before she knew what it contained........to the detriment of her own party. Another gift from Obama who's sailing on some fat cats yacht and livin the good life so concerned about the mess he created.......yea right.

So since the press and Hillary's numbers are BOTH lower than his, how do you think the negative propaganda campaign is working out? By the way aren't those the same folks that led you to believe Hillary was unbeatable in the election?

You're the poster child for a fool never learns...... even your own pollsters are telling you the press isn't reliable yet you persist ......LOL

Sooo..your argument is that polls are inaccurate, yet you note that the press and Hillsy's poll numbers are lower than Dear Leader.

So are poll numbers only accurate when they serve your agenda?
