LAST EDITED ON Aug-29-17 AT 09:01AM (MST)[p]Not a Penny! Too bad about the flooding, hope it all works out but you will not receive a single cent of federal relief funds. As a matter of fact, we are sending you a bill for the time spent by the Coast Guard's rescue efforts.

Predictably 2 of the larger scat piles in Congress that represent the forever whining succession state will now assume the glory hole position for federal relief funds for their scat pile state.

"In the House, all but one Republican representative from the Lone Star State opposed the aid bills for Sandy.

Republican leaders in the House actually delayed a vote on the multi-billion dollar aid program in early 2013, adjourning a January session for weeks as storm victims twisted in the wind.

Rep. Peter King (R-L.I.) at the time described the behavior of his GOP colleagues as ?disgraceful,? noting most of the opponents came from states that had previously received disaster aid.

Cornyn and Cruz were among the 39 Republican senators to oppose the package, along with 179 GOP members of the house. Republican senators further delayed the vote by trying to offset the aid with budget cuts."

American should say, "No" to you Texas go figure it out on your own. Enough of your bullchit and belly aching. Hey Texas GFYS!!! (Go Fund Your Situation)

Here we go again, the Blue states will have to bail out yet another money sucking Red state what a shock. Of course the Dems will do the right thing and the Reps will throw a ton of pork into the Disaster Relief Funding..classic.

"Ten days before Hurricane Harvey descended upon Texas on Friday, wreaking havoc and causing widespread flooding, President Donald Trump signed an executive order revoking a set of regulations that would have made federally funded infrastructure less vulnerable to flooding." #winning

Good ol King Feces, everything he touches turns to ----!

I think the bill for Sandy relief had a ton of pork in it and that is why conservatives were against it. They finally passed it after some of the fat was removed.

Is that what you thought or is that what you read on some right wing news site?

Again, just a minute of researching and BOOM, you find out that Cruz, Cornyn and the rest of the turd wranglers were lying. $60.4 Billion, you know how much pork was cut....$400 million.

GFYS Texas.

It is a fact of history that it is liberals that expects and depends on the Gov. to bail them out in times of crisis.
Take a good look at Texas and you are seeing Texans helping Texans that you did not see in New York or other left leaning states. FTW is too ashamed to admit it and will lie to cover his left leaning liberal ways.

FTW just proved my statement about him not being able to admit how it is liberals that expect the Gov. to take care of them.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-06-17 AT 01:12PM (MST)[p]Hilarious! Texans feel that with the advent of Federal dollars coming their way they do not need spend any money from their "Rainy Day Fund". What a POS state!

https://www.tribtalk.org/2017/09/04/texas-needs-to-tap-rainy-day-fund-for-hurricane-harvey-relief/

The truth is that the "Rainy Day Fund" has nothing to do with self-sufficiency should a natural disaster occur. It exists to serve 2 purposes; to secure money to creditors and to boast how self-sufficient it is as long as no natural disasters occur.

Classic Texas.

So the House just approved $8 Billion in hurricane relief funds for Texas.

Why would they have to do that 264 when Texas has yet to spend $1.00 from it's "$10 Billion Rainy Day Fund"?
