A good majority of sheriffs wears 5 stars to denote their rank in the department. I would not expect a bent wrist liberal to know that as they avoid law enforcement service as well as military service. Something to do with having jelly for a backbone.

Her in CA. most sheriffs have either 4-5 stars on their class "A" uniform and the undersheriff has 1 or 2 stars to denote his lower rank. Other items on the uniform will be for awards granted.
