It's very relevant today given the orange man's readiness to commit to military conflict and his public disdain for vets like John McCain's service to his nation.

How did this family avoid any military service ? I don't know a family who's never had anyone serve. I really didn't think one existed other than recent immigrants. how can a family like this corral so called " patriots " and lead them by the nose? it's astonishing.

It shows how effective Trump is as a con man, if nothing else you have to give him credit for that much.

No I do not. a guy who played games to avoid the draft, a guy who's never had a family member past or present in the military. a guy who claims to be the one to make America great again and talks like he's general Patton. a guy who puts down true patriots like McCain for being captured. a guy who bashes gold star families . a guy who says he knows more than the generals. and this guy has the so called " patriots " eating out of his hand and bent over a stump .

I would have served had I been needed. just like my relatives as far back as the civil war. I turned 18 a few months before Carter reinstated the selective service program and I promptly signed up as required.


The military since Nam has been a career choice. one like most americans I wasn't interested in. I have absolutely nothing to defend .

Your Trump hero on the other hand took 5 deferments to avoid service. judging from his family's service history he was not the first Trump to shirk duty.


You're lying if you say you don't find a family with ZERO military service isn't unusual. and Trump is lying when he wraps himself in a flag and says he's captain America here to defend that flag and what it stands for at any cost. he's a liar.

There's nothing illegal in any of this as far as we know. but it sure as hell is contradictory to the rhetoric.
