The state?s top cop issued a warning to California employers Thursday that businesses face legal repercussions, including fines up to $10,000, if they assist federal immigration authorities with a potential widespread immigration crackdown.

?It's important, given these rumors that are out there, to let people know ? more specifically today, employers ? that if they voluntarily start giving up information about their employees or access to their employees in ways that contradict our new California laws, they subject themselves to actions by my office,? state Attorney General Xavier Becerra said at a news conference. ?We will prosecute those who violate the law.?

Leave it up to "bullet train" Jerry Brown to blame the Republicans for what the Democrats in this state has done with their excessive taxes.
What Brown is not admitting that the rich and big companies have been leaving this state for years for better tax states long before this new tax bill. The Democrats had a goose laying the golden eggs in the huge computer industry in the Silicon Valley. That is until they got greedy and over taxed them and the majority of the Silicon Valley computer business fled to Dallas, Texas and Seattle, Washington.
Jerry Brown is fearful that more fleeing the state will cost him his 67-80 billion dollar bullet train that he wants for his legacy. The next Governor may quash it as it is a big drain on the tax payers of this state.
You can go over to the Reno, Nevada area and there is a industrial complex with many large business located there. Just about every one is a ex-CA. business that bailed out years ago due to high taxes and regulations.
Leave it up to Trump to make our liberal Democrats sit up and start to worry about taxing the crap out of the working person and the rich. I love it!!!
