Retard, the FBI has admitted they screwed up. I'm guessing if they weren't too busy trying to meddle with our elections by starting frivolous investigations based off of lies they would have more resources to investigate ACTUAL people that were potential threats to society.

The FBI is in shambles right now and rightly so. I have zero confidence that they are a competent bureaucracy now. Sessions needs to be fired for not doing his job and appointing a SC to investigate the FBI/FISA thingy and Wray needs to resign for being the head of a completely incompetent agency.
 
The FBI missed two chances to stop this nut case. the first was the bail bond agent who took a screen shot of his facebook account where someone posted he was going to be a professional school shooter. The FBI stated they could not ascertain who posted that threat. Yet you look at the screen shot of the posted threat, the suspect's real name is posted on the screen shot. So the FBI failed to follow that up or Facebook refused to cooperate with them in locating the address of the computer that was used. Your guess is good as mine.

Then they failed to follow up a tip by a citizen informant that came forward and gave them information that the suspect had made threats to shoot up a school. That along is a "terrorist threat" and a felony crime that should have generated a search warrant and arrest warrant for the idiot criminal. They also failed to connect the suspect to the first facebook threat even though the citizen informant gave them his name.

Talk about a major FUBAR, this is one that should get some heads to roll.

And for the FBI, yes in this case they dropped the ball. There's a big difference in ignoring evidence of potential threats and illegal surveillance. Maybe the incompetence has trickled down from the top to the field agent level?
 
What happened in Florida is a tragedy. plain and simple. We can all get on our podium of the day and preach the word that we each believe, or maybe we can come together and get to the root of the problem once and for all. It is not guns, it is not access to guns that is the problem. The problem is our lack of moral fortitude and our lack of compassion for our fellow man. The political climate in this country is where the blame lies. And that is not just the left or the right or the middle. It is a culmination of all politics. I believe it all started back in the late 60's with the hippy culture and the feminist movement. From that point in history up until now our morals have been absence and we always look to blame someone other than ourselves. Well the blame rest squarely on our shoulders. We as a country have allowed decency and morals to be replaced by a entitlement persona that grips us all. It is a time to move back to a more strict moral code and start be held accountable for our actions and inactions for that matter. On of the 10 Commandments is Thou shall not commit murder, so it is not a recent problem, it has always been a problem. There were not guns when those words were written. So therefore we as a people must heed these words. Guns do not and will never have a mind of there own. There is always a mind behind the sights. Let us move away from this notion that everyone that participates is a winner. It is not so and it is abig part of the problem. Our youth need to know how to deal with defeat in order to grow. We are so busy shielding them from the real world that we have reared generations of big azz brats. When mommy and daddy are to busy to sit down and talk with there children about the real and conceived perils of life, the kids are the real losers. My father explained it to me this way. The judges and the lawyers have made it easy to get out of a situation, why because it was there kids that needed the help getting out of trouble. So in turn the same laws apply to all people. It is time for an eye for an eye again. If you do the crime, expect to pay for that crime. No slap on the wrist and no cushy rehab. Maybe if it starts to hurt to do the punishment, humanity will think twice about it prior to committing a crime. If words hurt you, then maybe you need a bigger band aid. Its not guns, its spoiled brats that kill. Politicians need to enact laws that reflect real punishment.

Yes Ochoco, I do believe that more needs to be done concerning the selling of any weapons to dicweeds like this kid in Florida. He has mental health issues and that should be part of the equation when purchasing weapons of any sort. The part that is going to get danced around is the privacy clause when it concerns medical issues. The wording must change from may to must.
To your point of Trump being part of the problem attacking law enforcement, I do believe that he produces a valid point when he points out the FBI was consumed with proving collusion against his campaign and not focusing on the other issues facing this nation. And that my dear friend is coming from the top of the FBI and being driven down to the agents in the field. You cannot deny that the leadership is corrupt and bias. I hope that they do not take the death penalty off the table. He has confessed to doing it so lets get him a trial date and move forward. Oh wait we can't. We have to have due process. What does that mean, that the tax payers have to foot his legal bill and countless appeals after he is convicted. Hell no I say, just take him straight from the court house and plug him in. It's the damn lawyers and judges that are just as complicit in this system of bungles that we have. Mueller is a prime example of this. I know a lot of Marines and not one of them is proud to call Mr. Mueller a brother. He is a puppet of the Obama administration, and there is no denying it. That POS ex-president we just got rid of sure as hell didn't do anything to bring this country together. Toughen the back ground checks for all assault type weapons is ok with me. Every gun that I own is a hunting or sporting type firearm. No assault models in my arsenal. No need for one.
