Just an American

Now I have grown tired of reading all the partisan BS that is spouted on this site. At first it was good reading, but lately it is just boring and repetitive. Regardless of your political affiliation, not one thing that you read here is going to change your point of view or beliefs. You get the same from both sides, endless links to someone's version of the news. You have a couple posters here that would rather take a bullet than admit that maybe their party is culpable to the present political climate that we find ourselves in. It takes two to tango, and boy do they tango.
I love this damn country and want nothing but the best for each and everyone of you out there. I may not agree with your point of view or your interpretation of the politics that are being portrayed in the press. It doesn't matter, in the end we all are just Americans hoping for a better future for our families. We will never know the truth, our politicians make sure that we Americans never get the truth. They know that the truth would turn even there most ardent supporter against them. So they give us the truth that they agree on. It is so entrenched in the beltway system that the politicians get sucked into the quagmire as soon as they get to DC.
So in closing, I am going to add that I will and continue to have hope for all my fellow Americans. You can disagree with me, that is OK it is your right. Just don't be to quick to judge. You may find that you would like that person in front of the keyboard if you ever met them. I agree to disagree with respect.

Take 2 paddles when you are up the creek.

If you mean they may not let us see what Mueller comes up with I agree. but if you're saying politics today and related discussions are repetitive and boring you must be from south Africa where leaders change weekly.

We are in an unprecedented historic political bubble students of political science will be mocking for centuries. our intellect will be judged on par with those who thought the earth was flat. great fodder for stand up comedians and a textbook example of how you don't run a nation. that's what we are living today, anything but boring.

This forum should be looked at as more entertainment then anything. If this was sitting around a camp fire shooting shyt after a day in the outdoors, I believe, 99% of guys on here would agree on far more things than they disagree on at the end of the day.

There are only a few members I wouldn't let near my family. The rest are good people from what I can tell.

If you think anything said here actually matters then try arguing politics anywhere in America, it is polarized for a reason. Something is wrong when there are 320,000,000 of us and the choice was between a bitter old lying hag and a floppy haired cartoon character. I hate both sides and don't believe either party can represent such a diverse Republic.

Thanks for the kind thoughts DIY. We do get carried away around here. Now that I'm retired I get out a lot more and talk to a lot of different people. It's really a very small minority of people who are wound up about politics. At least I haven't seen it. And in real life, one on one, it's a pretty respectful conversation. It seems the internet is a safe place to be tough.:D

There are two things you're not supposed to discuss. politics and religion. that's all this forum is, if you're looking for Mayberry you need to look elsewhere.

Dude I have to agree with you. Politics and religion will cause more fights then anything else. well there is a third, hitting on a guy's woman will start a few fights also.

Sure, I wouldn't allow you within 10 miles of my daughters or my wife.

Manny wouldn't be someone I could sit down and reason with.

The rest of the guys one here seem just like most people I hang around here in the middle of nowhere.

At the end of the day I suspect most on here want the country to move forward and for Americans to prosper.
