-The Commerce Department said the trade gap rose 1.6 percent to $57.6 billion.

-That was the highest level since October 2008.

-part of the rise in the trade deficit in February reflected commodity price increases.

Wow.

Its no wonder who is in office or which party affiliation there is. Human beings by nature are the problem. Both directions... on one side, if Obama were to do something conservative folks would agree with.... you will never hear them admit it.
The same story here with liberals. If Trump tries to execute something common sense, it will never matter because you have the liberal base that will always disagree.
People by nature are consumed with hate and have tunnel vision it seems.
Politicians are human beings, thus it is no wonder nothing gets done. It wouldn't surprise me if the debates in congress sounded like a thread from this forum.
I hold conservative values. I am also of the belief that there has to be a healthy balance of progression in society.
I don't watch the news or get too engaged in politics. I troll this forum for entertainment I guess. But due to stubborn human nature, I don't recall any meaningful legislation getting through in the past 20 years. Am I wrong?
I voted for Trump. Guess I'm just bundled in the deplorable white trash base.

Not sure what exactly you are talking about. Ignoring the white trash comment for a moment, can you explain why the trade deficit has expanded under Trump? To the highest level since the beginning of the great recession?

Has little to do with hate and everything to do with a fact that is easily provable.

Well I guess you caught me in a mistake. My mistake being I should have posted my rant in the wrong context. I wasn't specifically talking about that topic. I'll be honest, you and probably 99% of everybody on this forum have more education on the topic.

My rant is basically focused on human nature and lack of balance as a whole. Basically there are two kinds of people now days.... you hate Trump or love Trump. Everyone blinded by which side they stand. Same was with Obama.

Always a black and white.

I guess in my uneducated white trash opinion, the gray area may be the place to be.

So my question for you in particular I guess; Forget about Trumps personality. Will you honestly go on record and tell me that there is not one single thing Trump has done or tried to do that you agree with?

There are some things Trump has done that I agree with: His appointment to the Supreme Court of Neil Gorsuch plus a whole generation of good judges that he has appointed and gotten confirmed.

On the priorities that I believe are most important to the future of my children and grand children, Trump is at best a dismal failure and worst an out right sellout to the conservative beliefs of fiscal discipline and sound budget policy.

For every good thing Trump has done there are 15 stupid things he shoots himself in the foot with daily.

If the standard we judge Trump by is can you name one thing he's done right the answer is yes.

So my question is how many wrongs make a right ? from what I see it's about 100 to 1 . that's a pretty low bar for the president.

There is a quick and easy way to deter illegal immigration to this country. Make laws that do not allow them to go on any public assistance. Then pass a law that it is illegal to hire any person that can not show they are a citizen or having a work visa, and if a company gets caught hiring illegals, make the fines high enough that it would be a strong deterrent to hire them.

The above will never happen by Congress taking the bull by the horns and passing those laws.

Watch TV
Use a computer
Use a cell phone
Drive a car
Use any electronics
Eat meat or vegetables that you don't kill or raise yourself
Wear clothes (especially hunting clothes) made of anything except maybe pure cotton
Use optics
Etc
Etc
Etc

It's like sugar. I am a type 2 diabetic. I read a lot of labels. There is one form or another of sugar in almost EVERYTHING. Even in sugar substitutes. Saying you buy American is as impossible as eating 100% sugar free.
