Drove by the Bundy spread the other day. They own 160 acres, maybe 40 acres in hay and a few acres of melons. I even saw a couple of melon farmers wearing classic Bundy hats out in the field. Couple old graffiti covered buses permanently parked by the driveway. Even saw some of the infamous Bundy cows wearing the big VO iron lazily grazing in the river bottom on land that doesn't belong to the Bundys.

I was so over-whelmed by the vastness and beauty of the huge Bundy "ranch" that I just sat there in awe of such great men. I checked my handy-dandy pocket constitution and mis-interpreted a few clauses to say the federal government has no right to own land. I saluted these true patriots and said "carry on"!!

I didn't see any of their cattle more than a few hundred yards from the river bottom, all of which is either federal, county, city (Mesquite) or neighbor owned. Not Bundy owned. If they were in the desert someone would have to haul them water and I can't see the Bundys spoiling their cattle by pampering them.

No it doesn't take a special breed to survive there. Saying that is just the Bundy way of justifying piss poor or non-existent management. They are typical "zero input/low output" ranchers.

On another related note, I heard someone had asked Trump to pardon the Hammonds in prison in Oregon. I hope he does. I think their debt is more than paid. You remember the Hammonds right? The people who Bundys claim they took over the Malheur for and haven't said anything about since.
