That is a "sweet lion mount".

I'm no expert on lion mounts but I would say that's the coolest one I've ever saw!

That setup cost $3,000

A lion with mouth open is $2,700, and that includes the rock, or base as long as it doesn't have any custom woodwork in it.

It seems like there are a lot of guys who mount cats and they look terrible. This mount looks spot on. Beautiful cat with excellent taxidermy! Thanks for sharing. I would love to have one of those of my own someday!

That's just an excellent job on that cat (nothing wrong with that buck either!). As stated, many taxidermists seem to struggle with cats. That beast is well filled out, the angle on the head/neck, ears and whiskers looks great. Even more so, he seemed to get the bunching on the face skin showing the wrinkles you expect with a cat hissing or snarling.
