Crating up deer heads

I'm making an out of state move pretty soon. Crated up my four deer heads and have caulked all the seams except the opening that closed it up. Made the crates out of 2x4's and OSB. They will most likely be in them for a couple months. Can anybody recommend something to put inside to thwart any motivated buggs that might somehow get in?

Here is my latest archery deer. Picked it up last Saturday...and crated him up yesterday. At least I saw him for a few days.

If you're moving over a state line, you might want to check and see if you need to get an interstate game tag for them. Maybe it's not a problem, especially if you kept the harvest tag. Maybe you already have them from when you had them mounted. I know in some states it can cause you grief if you get checked.

Throw a few moth balls in there with them. That will keep just about anything out of the crate. May have to air them out when you're ready for them, depending on how sensitive you are to the smell.

The voices in my head may not be real, but they have
some good ideas!
