skull bases?

I have a bunch of sheds that I would like to mount on a plaque. At one time I came across something that I thought was called "skull bases" and I was going to buy some but then they sold out. Does anyone know where I can pick some up and is that what they are called?

Mountain Mikes makes some shed spreaders. They are very easy to mount sheds to. You get 2 sets(large and medium) and they only cost like $12.

Can you use them for elk though? I have a medium size elk that I would like to do, 5x6.

Go to mckenzietaxidermy.com and do a search. They have several things you can use. You could even call them @ 800-279-7985 and request a catalog. Ask to talk with one of their taxidermists and tell him what you are looking for and they will be very informative. They have some really great stuff.

Yes Mtn Mikes makes an elk skull. The downer is its $100 bucks, but you get a large and medium skull plate, so you can mount 2 sets of antlers if you want but only one of them can be on the skull. I have done 4 elk so far and they are pretty easy. Its alot easier with 2 people but 3 of them I have done by myself and 2 of the sets were 330"+ bulls.
