well i got to many euro heads around and i am getting tired of the white look.

last couple years i been playing around with some stone in a can paint. also called flec stone.

the first one i used a texture paint and added flec-stone very lightly to give it that look of a rock/stone.

the second skull is just all flec-stone.

the cans of paint are pretty cheap and come in several colors.

so what do you think? its really growing on me and people seem to like it when they see it. and i get a thumbs up from the wife so they get to stay in one of the trophy rooms..

is the paint i used. the can on the right is a texture paint. thats what i used on the first skull and used the can on the left and very lightly put a little on.

the can on left was used on number 2 and thats it.

I have to admit, as I was reading the description I had a predisposed opinion on how bad that would look. However after seeing it as a finished product with your handy work, very impressed. I think that looks damned good. Much better than the camo premade version you find in the catalogs in my personal opinion.

We all like different things. I might like it if it was lighter in color but it is not my thing that dark. Looks nice, just not something I would do.

some of the taxdermist around here are doing it and they charge over 30-60 bucks. plus the charge to boil or beetle the head.

I really like the look,as you said the white is all you see. Those are really good looking.Gonna try that on my elk i got this year.
