So after a long wait and a horrible experience with another taxidermist, Travis Roundy of Roundy taxidermy produced this excellent mountain lion mount for me. I wanted to re-create the scene where it was shot. I shot this lion on 1/1/2011, and there was 6' of snow on the ground where he was. After thinking it through I decided snow on the mount would be a bad idea, due to it being difficult to clean and take care of. Travis agreed, and said that I should avoid synthetic snow on the mount. So, minus the snow, I think this mount came out looking pretty dang sweet.
Thanks a ton Travis.

Here is a pic of my Lion right before I shot him

Here are a few of the mount hanging in the house.

Great mount! I like the closed mouth, I've been leaning that way with mine.

He NAILED your lion's face (eyes, ears, everything)! Gotta be proud to have that on your wall now ...

+1 - You hardly ever see a well done cougar, the eyes are always off just a little. Not this one, fantastic mount!!
Congrats to you on a great trophy!

That is very nice, that's the look I'm going for also, right before the shot and how mine was in the tree. Thanks for posting the picture, now I know I will go with my original idea. Thank you

Reviving this old thread. I hope you are still around SLIVER. I sent you a PM.

That mount looks awesome, I am planning to use him soon!

Great looking mount there and great location. That will scare your MIL back outside.....LOL
