I thought I would share a few pics of this monster buck I mounted for a friend using replica antlers. He had an exact replica made of the original bucks antlers and I found a cape and re-created this magnificent buck. I used an artificial skull plate and set the sheds at the exact measurements of the original buck. This buck was killed back in 1950 on diamond mountain. It is 41 1/2 inches wide and grosses 277 and nets 261 officially scored.

Great job on the staining. What did you use to stain them? Terrific mount as well.

I had no part in making the antlers. The guy that made them used paints and painted in all the detail to match the original buck.
