My son and I both killed nice bulls with our bows this year in Wyoming. In the process of completing european mounts, the antlers seems to have lost some of their dark brown color. I've heard that rubbing the antlers down with vegetable oil will help bring back some of that color. Suggestions?

I'm sure someone knows, but u can always try a spot on the backside, give it a few days and see what u think. If u like it do the whole thing.

if it is only a small spot on the back side around the bases where it touched the water or peroxide when you were cleaning them, then I would just use some wood stain you got in the garage.
I have done that and just got a color that was close for those little spots and it is fine.

There are many things that would be nice to wish for or say but then I would be just like him.
