I've been lucky enough this year to draw a San Juan bear tag as well as a lasal bull elk tag and I'd like to start getting some different ideas for life size bear mounts and elk shoulder mounts. If anybody would like to share theirs I'd love to see them. Thanks

I was also lucky enough to draw that tag this year, I have been googling bear mounts, taxidermy mounts and save the picture if I like it so I can narrow it down later when the taxidermist needs it. Also Mckenzie taxidermy supply has an online catalog you can look at.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-28-15 AT 02:13PM (MST)[p]The room or available space in my house where I plan to display the mount was my biggest consideration. I chose a rug mount cause it can be draped over the back of a couch or be stretched on the wall taking up nearly no outward space.

One bit of advice is definitely have the skull cleaned for display on a bookshelf or mantle.
