LAST EDITED ON Apr-17-17 AT 10:41AM (MST)[p]I have been doing euro mounts for people for a while now, and would like to try self learning on how to do shoulder mounts.
I was wondering where in Utah you can send your capes to get tanned and ready for a shoulder mount? I have a few capes and antlers of my own that I want to experiment with.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

LAST EDITED ON Apr-19-17 AT 09:54PM (MST)[p]If you are gonna mount your own then have at it. But doing shoulder mounts for others is a whole different ball game than boiling a skull. I would suggest taking a one on one class with a competent Taxidermist. Glacier fur Tanner is in Montana I don't think there is one in Utah. Don't expect to get a cape back from the Tanner and slap it on the form there is a lengthy process that is involved.

Mountain View Tannery in Santaquin Ut. Also there's a video through Research Mannikins of Scott Brewer mounting a competition mule deer that is pretty good to get you going.
