Hey guys,

I just moved into a different house with considerably less space on the wall in the garage for heads. Anyone seen a good, compact way of displaying 16-20 deer heads without just hanging them over a suspended 2x4?

An idea that comes to mind is a vertical post/beam then stagger side to side something like a skull hooker. Never seen it done, but seems like it could work.

I've seen the vertical post/tree truck on casters with some habitat on the bottom. Looks real nice and it would be easy to move around. Another plus is you can make it as tall as whatever wall you are going to put it next to.

Thanks for the replies. I looked up that tree thing. I need mine 5+ feet off the ground. I wish skull hookers weren't so much money. I've tried the cheaper versions that you screw the skull to the plate thing but it sucks if you ever have to take them down. I have one skull hooker and I really like how you just set it on there and it stays nice and solid. Buying 15 or so more would cost as much as a rifle.

LAST EDITED ON May-24-17 AT 04:40PM (MST)[p]Check out the Dead on Display hangers. I switched to them last year after being disgusted with Skull Hookers and the other cheap crap hangers that is out there. They are cheaper and most importantly, I have found them to be the most secure system that I have used. I actually get to just see my mounts and not someone else's hunk of metal hanging off the wall!

I took a screen shot off of their Instagram page of a display post that they built. Hope this helps!

Ditto what Sliverslinger said! Affordable. Not distracting. Space savers. Incredibly secure!!! It attaches from inside the skull, making it virtually impossible to knock off the wall. Here is their facebook page.

Looks like they are running a promo right now too... would save you a bit on 16-20 heads! Promo code whack-a-rack for 15% off for the next few weeks.
