Bear mount

I finished my brothers 2017 archery bear he shot just shortly after the eclipse happened on august 21st. We call him the "eclipse bear" haha. I got confident enough to try mounting a couple lifesize mounts this year so I tried it. The lion (on a previous post) and this bear are my first lifesize mounts I've done. What ya think?

Thanks,

I see u didn't take my advise about highlighting the rock from the lion post.
As a new guy to life size don't be afraid to take the sawzall to the form and do some modifications for the pose you want. That pose I presume is a walking up or straight pose but then you mounted it going down. The head position is way off for that pose. If you would have straightened out the head he would look a lot better. But that's how we learn. Good job at least you didn't put moss under each foot to hide the rods like a see all the time.

Don't think I'm giving you a hard time, just some constructive criticism. I presume that it's placed in a stairway that's the reason you have it at an angle. You can always level the base a bit more and that will bring the head closer to a natural position.

Ya no worries, I appreciate everybody's honest opinion. My brother hung it on a little steeper angle than I would of liked but that's what he wanted. It does need to be leveled out quite a bit. I've had other people see it after it was hung and they said the same thing the head tilts down to far.

Have to agree about the angle.
To un natural looking like that. He probably wanted it in a rear elevated, climbing down position.
Overall I think it looks pretty good.
Maybe need to resses the ear buds some to avoid that long ear look. On the next one.

Good job.
Hope you keep after it.
