Am I alone or does anyone else feel the appreciation on one hand of bagging an elk (or other game) this past Fall, but at the same time the pain of looking in the freezer at thier elk rib eye's and T bones (or other choice cuts)...in winter...doing everything you can to avoid pulling a package out to toss a couple on the BBQ? I mean, its winter...cold out...snow. Its killing me. BBQ season doesnt start until like May...longer daylight hours, cold drink weather, sit outside weather, you know? I actually snuck a couple packages out recently justifying to myself that I wouldnt make it a habit...at the egging of my son (bone in this year for something different. Highly recommended). No bending my arm needed here... They're GOOD... Its that gut feeling that come summer when its the best for BBQ'n, all my steaks will be GONE!! My summer of impressing my friends on the grill will be gone.. No more steaks! I ate em all before spring/summer got here! Oh no! Anyone have any good tips to keep a person from sneaking steaks out of the freezer untill at least Spring...? Help...
