This is one of my favorites to take hunting with me...I ually put it together or get everything prepped before I leave then I have part of a meal ready to go on a late evening back into camp.

here goes:
slice enough potatos of whatever variety you like to feed whover needs to be fed.

cook some bacon up same as above as much as you think you need

chop the bacon

chop up a red bell pepper
chop up a green bell pepper

beat up some garlic as much or as little as you want

get some cheese about 2 cups

chop an onion if you want too

think about anything else you might want to eat

now heres the hard part... take some foil and either butter the hell out of it, or spray it down good with cooking spray

now start layering it all in the foil untill there aint now more then wrap it well in the foil and throw it on the fire or the grill for about 30-40 minuetes turning often take it off the heat unwrap it, add salt and pepper, enjoy

I make a similar potato wrapped in foil. I use red potatos and most of
the ingredients that you are using. Instead of bacon, or in addition to the bacon, I use hillshire farms hot links sliced about 1/4" thick. Also I use ortega chiles and diced jalapenos.
I dont chop my onions, just slice into rings and toss in with the potatos. A generous amount of season all salt also is used. These potatos have a pretty good kick. I try to make enough to have leftovers for breakfast the next morning.

I put a hamburger or elk or deer burger patty on the double wrap tin foil first.Next potatoe slices, carrot slices, onion slices and mushrooms.Next I put some seasonings on and finally, put some cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup over all the meal.Roll up the tin foil and put hot coals under and over the meal and let cook.I also make this and cook it at home in my stove oven.Makes for good eating anytime.(ROD)

we do something like this out camping everytime we go. same foods and everything but instead of putting in on the grill we start a campfire burn it really hot til its just a bunch of hot coals and dig a couple holes for each package about 8 inches deep and let the hot coals cook it.
