Need a Grinder

I am going to start processing my own game this year and I need to purchase a meat grinder. I anticipate doing and average of three animals (mainly deer and an occasional antelope)a year. I might use the grinder to grind some beef burger during the remainder of the year but its main use will be for game meat. What type of grinder should I purchase? I am willing to spend money to get something I will not feel the need to upgrade immediately but I don't want to buy more than I need.

Thanks for any advice...

Check this site out for processing equipment.

I have one of their grinders, all heavy duty stainless constuction and I am certain it will outlast me. BassPro carries them and the prices are usually cheaper than on LEM's site.

I had 1/2 my antelope and 1/2 my deer professionally ground up this year for the first time and it's fantastic. I've always processed my own deer, learned early on from my Dad, but never have used a grinder. I think getting one could be a good investment!

Best advice i can give is get an electric one. We bought the one you have to hand crank from bass pro man talk about a piece of junk, plus it had oil all in it. definitely check out the ones that are electric to make things easier on you.

I have the Cabelas Pro 450. $169.99 but I got it on sale for $129.00. It has been a great grinder so far. I ground up 6lbs of deer scraps last night and it took about 10 minutes. Easy to clean up too.
