FWIW, I have the same model and reticle, but in a 4-16x.
My scope works great for "aim small, miss small" practice, and hunting in the field.
You don't have the thick low-light reticle, but for hunting purposes it works great as you always know where your aim point is, the middle.
I've killed a nice 170 and 180 class buck the last two years in fairly crappy conditions at 500-600 yds, and felt quite confident because my gun and scope systems worked.
Additionally, while busy, this reticle, given you all you need to adjust to the conditions. While I always "dope and dial" for drop, $hit happens in the field and a dead phone, lost drop card, etc is a real possibility, so this kind of back up can be invaluable if you have the critter of a life time in front of you.
Anyway, this is an advanced tool(FFP/tacticle reticle) priced at the price of the standard (SFP/Duplex)cost. If I had an unscoped LR rifle, I'd be on this.
