I am researching a spring Kansas rio hunt. I want nonguided or semi guided. I am willing to pay trespass fees or hunt on public ground. I would like pointers to get started, I have hunted gobblers for 30 years and need help as far as areas to hunt or who to contact. paying a fee for a semi guided hunt would be no problem. there would probably be 3 hunters.Any help would be appreciated.
Happy New Year

Big Dog Outfitters, Kingman, Kansas. They have private leases, lots of birds, you do the hunting. They just drop you off.

If a man was thinking about Rios, where should he start. Rios are moving to my short list. :D

Hello Rut
I am from Southern Illinois. Kansas is close. 8 to 9 hour drive.I will have either 2 or 3 tags here in Illinois where the season runs April 3 thru May 4th. 1 bird per season is allowed with 5 seasons. Also will hunt without a gun or bow with a son and a friend. I can fit this hunt in easy and still enjoy my very inexpensive hunts here. I am looking to hunt Rio's and Merriam's as I can over the next few years.
