We need to secure the border!!!

I once took a hunt on close to the border in TX. The guides had some crazy story and very specific rules on our hunt! At the time I thought it was funny! But now after issues on the big lake in TX and now this story in NM makes a person reconsider such hunts!

Glad the hunter and guide will survive!

It is time we take back our borders and our land of these illegals.. ruff we were hunting Couse and we were just outside Nogales... it's definitely weird to see some of what goes on down there but it's an awesome experience...

I came very close to going on this hunt. Super nice folks. It's Redwing Outfitters out of NM. Beautiful country, which is why I wanted to go. This county, Presidio, had been relatively safe until now.

There's a rather concerted effort from locals on both sides of the Rio Grande down there to portray the area as a "safe border town." "It's a tourist attraction in the Big Bend area, and nobody want's to talk about it..."

OTOH...The sheriff's office said "there is no evidence to support allegations of 'cross-border violence'" because the Border Patrol found no evidence of anyone on the ranch who wasn't supposed to be there.

Grizzly, you got it correctly. Local news channel from NM several days ago confirmed it was friendly fire and not illegals.

Me and my brother often hunt these border units. We fully camp up and carry AR15 with 4 mags each. One hunts one keeps an eye out. If we ever see any of thes a holes world war three aboutvto go down.

Sounds like they had the same "shoot first ask questions later" attitude that some on here have.....

Remind me not invite you to hunt with me in New Mexico or Southern Arizona. Until you've been there, experienced the "face to face", you have no idea what the differences between Ramdo, and self appointed militia are, in comparison to the realities along that southern border.

And I don't want to hear that I need to "keep my distance" from the southern border, anymore that you want to hear, "keep your distance" from your living room.

I live in southern new mexico..... about 40 miles as a crow flies from the border. Is that close enough for you?

My comment is based on the fact that friendly fire caused by people firing at someone or something scary happened. Remind me not to invite you to my Camp in southern new mexico or southern arizona if you're going to be shooting at the bogeyman in the middle of the night.
