Invention idea, need advice

Hi Guys,

Without going into too much detail I am working on a powerless clothes dryer. My thoughts were it would work good for hunting if your clothes got wet and you didn't have a stove or the time to wait for your stove/fire to dry out your clothes. Obviously the reason a person wouldn't need this is if they had a stove to dry clothes. But in theory, if someone had a pretty compact (maybe the size of 2, 1 gallon ice cream pals stacked on top of each other) clothes dryer that didn't need power but was able to dry wet clothes in a matter of an hour or less would that be something a hunter would be interested in? Trying to figure out if there is a market for such a thing.

Thank you!

If it worked, I would love a way to dry clothes while hunting. I hate putting on wet/frozen clothes in the morning.

Yep, there would be certain applications for it.
Grizz hit the nail on the head! Wet clothes the following day suck and we've all done it countless times!

Great Idea:

I would suggest:

1- Sketch, write, document a proof of concept.
2- Go to the post office and mail this information to yourself.
3- Leave it unopened until your patent is approved.

This will hopefully protect in the chance that someone trys to take your idea in the future. Your documents will provide your attorney with "proof of concept", with a proven date.

My friend was/is an Inventor and holds several patents. This is what I was told years ago. Not sure how much of my advice would still apply.

Good luck, I like the concept!

Sounds interesting.

If powerless means hand cranking a fan for an hour, interest will take a dive.

Hanging the device our your truck window? Hmm

Again, Sounds interesting.

In fact, depending on how it works, it might actually be a life saver for someone caught in a wet and cold situation. We'd keep one in the van as well as in my Rodeo. Good luck with it!

There is so much crap out there that sells, if it worked you'd be a millionaire! Good luck, sounds like something we would all use sometime

Thanks for the help guys. It seemed like an option that would be nice to have. Whether it be a fly in hunt, thrown in the back of the truck when camping or whatever. But I wanted to just see what an unbiased first reaction would be to this sort of a thing. I will continue to work on it. Thank you.

What about boots? That would be even better if you could fit boots in there to dry overnight. I'll take a pre-order!

I wish my cousin had one on our Elk Hunt as he didn't bring extra clothing and we got cold and wet. I had triples of everything so I was ok
