I WILL BE HUNTING TURKEYS TOWARDS THE END OF THIS MONTH, IN REALLY GOOD HOG COUNTRY. MY REM, 870 PUMP HAS A SCREW IN CHOKE THAT WORKS WELL. I THOUGHT I WOULD CARRY A FEW SLUGS IN CASE I RAN INTO A HOG, DO I HAVE TO REMOVE THE CHOKE TO SHOOT THE SLUG ROUND ??? WONDERING IF ITS GOING TO WRECK MY CHOKE OR MY BARREL???? THANKS FOR THE ADVICE......YD.

Some 870's will be OK I Think if they have the Chokes like YUKON Has!

He Hated the Gun!
Was Always Saying:
WTF are you gonna do with a Single Shot?
So We Cut it Down!
On Both Ends!
Was a Cute little F'R when We got done with it!
We Nick-Named it "SUCKER-PUNCH"!
When We Went Shooting Skeet We'd Get it Out & Shoot it!
Always Using 2-3/4" Real Light Loads/7-1/2's & 8's!
Never Failed!
Somebody would always Ask:Any Chance I can Try/Shoot it?
Why Sure!
Then We'd Slip in a High Brass 3" Magnum!
Little SOB Bloodied alot of Lips in it's Day!
Having an extremely Short Barrel/Sawed-Off there was No problem Shooting Slugs out of this Gun!
If You Could Hold on to it!

Our Guns are Old Though & Do not have the Threaded/Interchangeable Choke Design!
