My wife and I will be in Benson in a couple weeks. Can anyone tell me any unadvertised spots where we may have a chance to view interesting wildlife. We'd really like to see a desert ram, but I am not sure if there are any in that area. Looking on the map I guess this area could include the land north of I - 10, east of the San Pedro River, and west of roads that head nw out of Wilcox. Dirt roads not a problem. Really we are thrilled to see anything that we don't see here above the dreaded Kennedy- Kerry Line here in Maine. Thanks very much. I appreciate any suggestions.

I am sure this wont help but...I lived in Vegas for a while and they were all over the roads in Boulder city. I am sure this is too far to travel but if you want a more or less sure thing for desert sheep, then that is where I would go. You are also going to near GC and there are lots of animals there as well.

I worked on I-10 east of Wilcox many years ago.... explore the Chiricaua mountains and you will see wildlife...Couse whitetail deer and occasional desert muley, javelina are common and maybe even see a cody.
