1st off I know I do not follow poaching cases as well as TRI. So these might be dumb questions. So when has someone been sentenced to a year in jail for poaching? And second what kind of info could he have had that was worth it to the State to not even give him one day behind bars? Seems to me like there are laws put into place that have sentences attached but no one will ever pay the price.

You have to screw up pretty big to ever actually spend any significant time locked up. It is basic math. First it is very costly. Second, there are more violators than there are beds. Public safety hazards and flight risks get the priority. Most bookings will bail out before the arrest report is complete. Just the way it is.

The investigator must have been named Jim Comey. Yes there were violations of law, yes there was missing evidence. But I feel there was no evidence to prove intent, we found no poached eggs in there server.
