i was wondering if anyone has ever tried to get it where we can leave our point after all they are paid for just like anything else in a will

You were told points are nontransferable when you bought them so no whining allowed now. Do away with points before we allow transferring them.

My oldest son died a little over a year ago with 16 Utah deer points. That's a double bummer. He had been putting in as a group with his brother, who doesn't have many points. We were hoping they could both draw a good hunt, but now we can see that was a mistake. We should have had him put in by himself and he could have drawn a good hunt while he was still healthy enough to go.

So sorry about the loss of your son. My condolences.

There will be a line in my obituary that reads "He is survived by 19 once-in-a-lifetime Rocky Mountain Goat points.

Would be nice but too easy to abuse by putting grandma in her whole life and when she dies you take her points. No need to call anyone because it's a definite no.

That is a crappy deal bugleb. Real sorry to hear that.
Maybe "points" should be something that can be handed down, I don't know. There are definitely good arguments both for and against such a thing.
