Son's First Black Bear

Well my 16 year old got his first spot and stalk black bear earlier this week. Bears are fairly difficult to locate around here so they decided they would pursue any legal bear. The bear is not a monster by any stretch but he was really excited about it nonetheless. Both of my son's had tags and we agreed that whoever spotted a bear first would get the shot.My younger son spotted the bear but he was very kind and let my oldest son shoot. My son dropped him with a shot from the 300 Ultra Mag.

Congrats. Nice color. Awesome job. Them bear are fun to hunt. He will be hooked now!!!

One of my sons came with us this year and got his first bear also. We went four for four in our camp. 11 day hunt. Seen around 10 total.
