I had a great hunt on Kodiak this May and was lucky to kill a very nice bear. It was a trip and adventure of a lifetime!

Congratulations on a fantastic hunt and gorgeous bear. Kodiak in the spring is a special place. Your photo brings back memories of my own spring hunt there.

Thank you gentlemen!! I hunted with Scott Mileur on this hunt. Everything they say about him is true. He is one of the best and does all he can for you to be successful. The hunt was much tougher than I ever though and the terrain is steep. The climate is generally always wet. I was wet all day from either rain or sweat. I literally was adding or removing clothing or rain gear 25 times a day. You HAVE to be in shape to improve your chances. I got lucky on a very nice bear with a beautiful hide. He was estimated by game and fish to be 20 years old and his skull was 29 2/8". We located the bear as he had a sow and 3 cubs trapped on a small cliff. He was 200 yds away when I shot him the next day with the same sow and cubs trapped 15 yds. away from him. There is nothing that prepares you walking up on a giant dead bear. It was certainly the adventure of a lifetime for me.

Congrats on a unbelievable bear. Headed up next May to try my luck. I couldn't imagine seeing a bear like that.
Thanks for sharing
