New Photo Contest for July/August......
Let's See Some Photos!
Maybe you'll WIN the pack!

Our photo contest is sponsored by Bad Ass Outdoor Gear. When you're in the need to upgrade your gear, shop Bad Ass Outdoor Gear and give them a chance to earn your long term business.

In mid-August we'll be giving away a sweet piece of gear to one of you who shares great photos. What do we all want to see? Cool, awesome pics! Scouting photos, success photos (even those from past years), buck and bull photos. Just fun stuff to look at. We all enjoy seeing photos of bucks and bulls.

At the end of each month (or about), I'll pick a winner based on which photo I think is the coolest, best, funnest to look at. Maybe it'll be a big bull elk one of you find scouting, or maybe it'll be an old days photo of your grandma with a monster muley. Obviously, they've all got to be of trophy western big game.

So I'm hoping you all will participate. You can post the photos here in this thread or email them to me at [email protected]. Please accompany any photos with a little detail. And please, let's keep this thread about photos. No back and forth chit chat talk. We can do that in another thread. Cool?

Let's see some photos!

The July/August winner will receive a Badlands Point Daypack in Max-1 Camo from our giveaway sponsor, Bad Ass Outdoor Gear. Please, when you're in the need of upgrading gear, shop Bad Ass Outdoor Gear and if they have a price you like, give them a chance to earn your business.

Byron Byers writes, "My family and friend joined me in Utah. After the smoke cleared I could see the bucks legs in the air. I knocked him down in his tracks. 276 yards with my Knight MK50.

Timothy writes, "2016 early November in eastern Montana on a DIY hunt early morning on public land I cracked this guy at 85 yards free hand with my 30/06, hitting a perfect heart/lung shot. He was the only buck with 16 does. Scores 167. He's not the biggest, but a taker. His eye guards are impressive for a muley."

Brock Sotelo has found a couple real trophies in Wyoming. Can't do much better than this. His hunting season should be fun.

Kenny Phillipp (aka Muley_Slayer) writes, "This is one of my favorite pictures. This is my late Uncle Ed, he shot this buck in the backcountry of Idaho in the 80's. I grew up hunting with my Dad and Uncles and am so fortunate to have had them as mentors. This is one of my most cherished photos, it brings back such great memories every time I look at it."

LAST EDITED ON Jul-22-17 AT 05:53PM (MST)[p]This is one of my favorite photos. I watched this ram and his partner for a number of years while the season for Rocky Mountain Bighorn was closed in Nevada. This ram was harvested the second year the season was re opened. He scored 188 0/8 and at the time of harvest was the number one ram in Nevada for three days.

This is the above rams lifelong companion. He was harvested a week later and scored 181 6/8. I believe he was #3 at the time of his harvest

Kimber Bruder writes, "Here's an old photo from about 1963 my dad on the right and his friend Max on the left. I love this pic a classic old Max with a steel Hamms Beer in one hand a little cigar hanging out his mouth, and a band-aid across his forehead. They were cleaning the big bull when the littler one run up the hill to join the party. lol Plus one from a year or two earlier my uncles friend with my uncles Bull with the old Willeys in the back ground."

Damian Olsen writes, "This was my very first buck I was able to harvest in the Manti public land area and I almost had to miss out on this hunt because I just came back from shoulder surgery and didn't know if I was gonna get cleared or not (the buck scored 168"). Still to this day the biggest one I have harvested. Love this page I am a muley freak and I shop at bad ass a lot especially at the expos they always have killer deals thanks to Kellie Adams!! Keep up the good work to the both of you guys for supporting the hunting community!! Hoping to hear from you guys soon!! Thanks again!!"

I got this picture off my trail cam this past weekend.
It's like they were intentionally messing with my camera.
It sure brings a smile to my face every time I look at that picture.
Hope some of you got a chuckle as well.

Brent White (aka ParadiseHunter) writes, "The one with the elk is from an elk my dad shot two years ago. It was a couple hundred yards from the road so we just caped it out and packed the cape and head on my shoulders.

The Moose one is from the moose my wife shot a few years back. He didn't quite make the books but he did break the 40 inch mark. She even got it with a muzzle loader. She made an awesome 200 yard shot."

Some great photos shared! Thank you to you all for sharing good stuff. It was again tough picking a winner. There were several that I thought were right there at the top.
But, they shots by Wes are real cool.

Wow. Thank you Founder. I'm glad you liked them. There were a lot of great photos submitted. Every one of us in these photos are winners for just being able to enjoy the outdoors and wildlife.

Wes

This guy has been coming to my Grandpa Rays Prime Time food plot for 2 months. For Connecticut he is a decent drop tine 8 point. Hope to have a chance at him when our bow season opens on Sept. 15th.

His daylight visits are increasing. If he keeps this up I may have a chance at getting him.

Time stamp is an hour ahead.
