I have a pair of 7 year old binos that need some TLC. Has anyone dealt with them on getting a refurbishment. No major repairs, just the rubber eye cups replaced and a couple other small things.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-25-17 AT 06:23AM (MST)[p]My father-in-law had an old pair of binocs, maybe 30 yrs old. Don't remember what was wrong with them, but he sent them back. They couldn't fix them so they sent him a new pair, at no charge. I'm pretty sure they didn't charge him anything. I'll confirm.

Need to correct my original statement above. He bought them in 1985. He has sent them back twice for refurbishing - I don't know what needed refurbishing. Swar sent them back with new glass, straps and covers. He paid shipping to Swar, they paid to him.

Last time they told him they couldn't get glass for them anymore.

Call Customer Service at Swarovski Optik North America, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I called to buy replacement eye cups that I lost and they didn't even charge me for shipping, just sent them straight to me for free. Another time I ordered a Swarovski rifle scope from Outdoorsmans and there was a shipping miscommunication and it was sent to Arizona instead of drop- shipped to me, SONA overnighted me one so I had it at 10am the next morning. I didn't even ask them to do it.

They're a top shelf company and treat you like royalty.

I've never had to deal with them for repairs but have had a few eye cups replaced and objective covers replaced. They've always sent replacements for free no shipping.

Contact them, then send them in. For less than $200 I bet you can get brand new glass put in them too. Sent 2 pair in for upgrade to new glass after 15 years and they responded that our glass was defective and replaced it for free.
They are great to deal with !

Thanks for the replies. I will give them a call as soon as my seasons are done. I should have done it a few months ago. My first tag is in a week.

Mailing address and phone number follow.

They are great to deal with. Call them first and get a service order number.

Every few years I send them in to get a good cleaning and replace missing caps or eye cups.
Last few times I only paid shipping on my end to send them.
+10 on service

I actually just got mine back a couple weeks ago having this exact service done. Turnaround was a couple weeks and only cost me shipping to RI. They are second to none in my experience. Leica on the other hand is a different animal....

I Wasn't Too Impressed with Their Warranty!

The Pair of Bino's I sent in had somehow got Wedged under the Tool Box in the Back of the Truck & & Bent one of the Tubes!

When I Got them back from SWARO they Still got the Dent in them!
